This is the latest from speculativestocks.com "Well at last we see movement in Wayside Gold. Mind you, it is not the only profiled stock moving but it is one we have been following for a while and it is good to see it going back up into unknown territory. At least unknown for nearly two years. We originally profiled Wayside September of 1998 and was surprised it did not move earlier, although there is no doubt the POG had a lot to do with it. Over this past 15 months we have not seen any reason to take it off profile as it had excellent value with no downside we could see. At the profile price of $0.18CDN we felt it was a steal. It still is in our opinion, and we can now start to see a time in the very near future when it will reach our upside target of $3.00. Incidently, we take stocks off profile at the $3.00 level. Why, no particualr reason except that was the upper threshold we set when we instigated our service. After $3.00 there are more than enough analysts competing for your dollar and telling the world how wonderful their picks are. We look at highly speculative stocks that carry as much risk as Amazon and the other internets, only at a much lower price. Today Wayside closed solidly at $0.30 and we may actually see it hit $0.40 tomorrow. There were two reason why it got to where it is and one of them has to do with the rapid advancement of the Cariboo Gold Quartz Project and the other is the price of gold. There is one other reason, and the person who created the reason is more than likely smarting right now. Apparently someone shorted Wayside over the last two or three days to the tune of 100,000 shares and has either had to cover, or is in the process of covering. When you short a stock you had better have either long legs and deep pockets, or very good information. We do not know whether the shorter has either, but a review of the offers on the CDNX site shows only four lots offered and they are at $0.35, $0.50, $1.50 and $3.40. Now obviously there will be stock come out of the woodwork as the price moves up, however right now the shorter must be wondering what he/she got into." Joe
