hansdevries,

re:"DELL"

that was funny, when you read it, most of the statements can be interpreted as "later in the year, we hope *ntel can fix our supply problems"

Even the Windows upgrade excuse.........
Sounds like DELL is waiting on B0 floppermine and Merced to bail his margins out for the year. Good luck!

"And the situation isn't likely to improve in the near future, with flat earnings growth next quarter"

"And Dell expects a big server spending spree through the coming year"

"hardware demands of Windows 2000 is very unlikely to make much on an impact before the second half of the year."

Did Dell reveal how much of its 4Q 1999 earnings came from sales of stock in other companies?

<Dell's power to drive profits slows to crawl>

I had the opportunity to listen to Dell's cc yesterday. Lots of fluff to pump the stock in the face of slowing revenues and profits.

Still the premier PC play but the stock may have some more ground to lose before it turns around.

Hans,

re:"Dell"

I was disappointed in their long term moves.

It was mores of the same same.

I just dumped my DELL at $38 for a 5/8 loss.

Picked up Mr Softee again.

regards,

Kash
