things could get ugly for shorts as new longs continue to hold and not sell into the rally. i have now heard 4 reasons for the sell-off that will bring some smiles to your face: 1. mgmt will be receiving options and wanted the price as low as possible. 2. acquiring company wants to keep the price down and currently is massively shorting thqi. 3. mgmt wants to keep the price down to allow the shorts an easy exit. and mgmt will continue to push the price down until every short has a chance to cover. 4. mgmt wants to purchase the company, so they are releasing scary information so that shareholders will be happy to take far less than they know the company is worth. my choice? none of the above.
