Elmer, There are true fixes and workarounds. When an errata is found you try Bios and microcode workarounds to keep the ship from sinking and then fix them in the masks for the next stepping.
From what I see this is a power distribution issue. The P-III and Athlon both had the problem. Probably the best fix is on the card and that will end it. The mobo makers will also beef up their power with those caps close to the card bus.
In effect a non-issue as far as the CPUs are concerned.
