Excellent work AMD, congratulations. Once again the lead changes hands to the benefit of consumers. Not for long though I suspect.

It is of interest to note that AMD has now removed the reference to SPECint scores on their website.

This may be a typo because the page is still there, even if the link is not. Notice how there are no 850 scores for INT even though there are 850 scores for SPECfp.

(Nasdaq: INTC), strives to be the speediest chip maker. Today it is. Chipheads will rejoice in the fact that the new 850MHz chip bests Intel's fastest Pentium III chip by 50MHz.

Another reason to avoid the Mhz race....who wants to be called a chiphead?!!
