Interesting. But this is not happening with the thousands of other US oil fields, whose production is steadily decreasing.

Middle East oil is not running out, but US oil is. This is a long term trend, mostly masked by the the cyclical ups and downs. The US is starting to get more of its energy supply from Canadian natural gas, so that might be a good area to invest in.
