Rob, while I agree with you that the average person just doesn't understand what companies are relevant to network security and how (you can see evidence of that in the past week or so in the stock prices), IDX technology can be useful even in these denial of service attacks. That's because having a biometric administrator-level protection on computer systems can help prevent them from being hacked into and hijacked for the purpose of bombarding a target web site. These types of sales wouldn't represent much in the way of revenues to the biometric companies, but they would help popularize them in the public mind as word got out about the newfangled security gizmos.
