First of all, it's not his job and second he made his thoughts known in a Fortune piece, yeah?

i think anyone who pays reasonable attention knew buffett and sir john t have suggested the mkt is potentially overpriced. peter lynch has said he'd wait sometimes 3 yrs (not three minutes) for one of his picks to blossom.

i know in toronto a respected economist for a large brokerage firm in the 80's suggested house prices here were 25 % overpriced, but few heeded the suggestion.

we hear what we want, and dismiss quickly what we don't like. in the bullish camp defense, us bears could have played the mania for what it is better too.

buffets comments re berkshire will be interesting though.
