To All, I have sold my Feb 30 Compaq puts for a bit more than a triple. I didn't roll down or out as I still have some Feb 25s for a surprise move. If they perspire worthless, I will roll out in time.

Mike, I checked Barron's online and found the Abelson article. It was January 3rd issue. He was talking about the NASDAQ composite. I looked up the stats that NASDAQ has online (See Gene Parrot's post to me #75637) and did the calculations. They show a P/E of 161 for Dec 99 in comparison to a 67 for Jan 99. That is quite a multiple expansion. But get this: The net income they show for January is $44.3B and for December it is only $32.8B and the December number is for 24 billion more shares.

The NAZ 100, basis the statistics from the NASDAQ site, went from 77 to 117 over this period. I cannot get up to the 200 figure, but anyway you cut it, these are extremely rich evaluations. (What an insight!)

Cheers!
