I beleive I am the longest "long" here on the board (13 years... sorry GiantMouse) with one of the lowest ACBs (75 cents Canadian) and from my perpective and sources while I don't know that the sale is done or imminent I do know very concretely that actions are being taken to remove any impediments to a deal and to start actions which would have to take place if a deal were announced. These actions could still be undertaken even if no deal is announced, but the fact that they are being done now certainly faciltates a possible deal.

Sorry to be so cryptic but sources need to be protected. A hint though....Newbridge is part of a larger network of firms related financially and through other corporate linkages. Sometimes if you want to know what is happening at Newbridge you need to shift you focus off center and look elswhere .... but not too far away.

As for the timing, someone suggested that theremay be a bidding war. In manydeals there isa breakup fee if the deal does not go through. Announcing a deal and then having a bidding war may results in unnecessary breakup costs....so maybe the bidding waris taking place now and the deal will be based on the winner of the bidding war. This may be acause of the delay in the announcement ..... this is all speculation however unlike my earlier comments in this message. >>>>>>

Best wishes,
Jim
