RudeCurr,

re: "That was the major falling out the last 2 quarters. My prediction is that next quarter the major falling out at Dell is (a) declining ASP and margin with flat EPS and (b) loss of investor enthusiasm."

You have not done your homework. Hold out your paw for the ruler...

DELL's ASP was up last quarter not down. The industry as a whole is expecting less price erosion this year. This is not a DELL specific issue.

The Flat margin issues have to do with component costs declines being cut short by the huge demand. This is not a problem specific to DELL.
It is an industry wide situation. The telecommunications industry is undergoing rapid expansion as it is building new infra structure and they are competing for the semiconductors.

Meathead has pointed out that delays in RDRAM and Coppermine availability left DELL with little in the way of new desktops last quarter. Component shortages also curtailed sales of the new WebPC.
These shortages will be largely gone this quarter. So DELL's position moving into March should be substantially better than it has been for the last two quarters.
