PB - RE: "Interesting. So it's not the high end sales we all love to banter about that's going to make the Q for AMD?"

In the the Q4 press release, AMD said they expected Q1 to be flat to lower because of a slow down in K6-x sales. They also said Athlon production, Flash, and Communications would go up.

Therefore, K6-x was what was holding AMD back from predicting then what they are predicting NOW.

PB,

<Interesting. So it's not the high end sales we all love to banter about that's going to make the Q for AMD?>

High-end is good but low-end is also kicking butt and people expected this to slow down because it is no longer Christmas.

If you search my profile you will find that I posted early January about the low-end gaining serious market share this quarter.
