I noticed the forward reference. Bulge in cheek noted....

Nevertheless, it is not clear that ASP will be declining as in days of yore due to the increasing "out of the box" revenues and margins. Also, as Meathead pointed out as DELL shifts to leading edge desktop products it should get better margins. The last couple of quarters it was stuck with aging product offerings and increased costs due to ragged product transitions.

Interestingly, it looks like this year is going to be full of new product transitions as well with Linux, W2K, Itanium, full scale production of RDRAM, etc. I hope that intel does a better job this year.
