<On the floor of the NYSE the specialist has a station with a monitor.
Lists the available shares for sell and buy. He has to match them up. He can also do this out of his/her own account. You can't match up buys if no one wants to sell at low prices. So he has to bid up the stock wait for higher sell orders or use his own account or sell his own shares. Who would sell? Those who are satisfied with the price they get I guess... >

I know the process. I am musing about sellers mind-set anywhere close to the current levels.

P.S.: I am sure there are a few ignorant folks that are short this stock probably under the influence of loose cannons like Ashok Kumar or Paul Engle.
