Mike,

We are both probably too old to understand the "new era" math.

1. One time charges don't count.
2. Stock options don't count.
3. Companies losing money don't count.
4. Capital gains on assets sales do count.
5. Money taken form pension plans counts.
6. Lower medical inflation assumptions count towards income as it relates to post-retirement liability assumptions.

So the PE is really 7!
