They are making it now. Volume is way up and RDRAM is beginning to climb the process learning curve.

exactly what i've been attempting to get through to the thread for a year....the bto/jit model, when it reaches the magnitude of dell, and requires a short product cycle, loses complete control of their destiny....in essence "the tail wags the dog"....it has happened over and over again, and anyone who thought that dell was above this, is seriously mistaken. it has come to pass...now the magnitude and expansion of plant and labor weighs heavy should a disruption again occur. these are the things that investors should look at, the reality of the model going forward and the ability of management at all levels to cope with the recent breakdown.
