Band-Ore Announces Information Meeting On New Diamond Project In
Northern Ontario

Toronto, Ontario--

Band-Ore Resources announced today that it will hold a public
meeting at the Toronto Stock Exchange Conference Centre tomorrow
evening, Tuesday, February 22, at 5 p.m.

"We are inviting analysts, brokers, investment bankers and
individual investors to the meeting for a first-hand view of the
project and the initial results of our due diligence," said Wayne
O'Connor, President.

The meeting, to be held at the TSE's Conference Centre in the
Exchange Tower, 2 First Canadian Place, 130 King St. W., street
level, in Toronto, will feature a presentation by Mr. O'Connor,
company geologists, and diamond expert Bill Jarvis, formerly of
De Beer's.

On February 10, Band-Ore announced it had entered into an
agreement to acquire a private company that held an exploration
and mining licence on a 25-square-kilometer diamond property in
northern Ontario. Two samples from the property were processed in
the Thunder Bay labs of Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. A 63.4
kg sample yielded 45 diamonds, 10 of which were macrodiamonds
(one dimension exceeding 0.5 mm) including one stone measuring
1.01 mm, and the remaining 35 stones were all microdiamonds. The
second sample of 70.5 kg yielded nine microdiamonds. The stones
were white in color and transparent in clarity. The samples were
taken from two outcrops half a kilometer apart.

Following the announcement of the agreement, Band-Ore conducted
its due diligence, duplicating the sample procedures of the
private company and submitting samples for analysis by qualified
Canadian and South African diamond laboratories. The agreement
with the private company is expected to close February 28, 2000.
Band-Ore plans an immediate airborne geophysical program
following the closing.

Band-Ore is a diversified mine exploration company with gold, PGM
and diamond projects in Canada. It has more than $1 million in
the treasury and an experienced and capable management and Board
of Directors. The shares trade on the TSE under the symbol "BAN".
