RE: Gartner Group, no I don't necessarily have a negative opinion of them. In fact, they are pretty well regarded. I guess that I have a more tainted opinion of the industry in general. In particular, I see most all of the consulting firms guilty of alternative agendas. It might be unfair to paint them all with such a broad brush, but I have yet to see a reason not to. Remember, Gartner was one of the greater alarmists of Y2K. And back then, I thought that was customer fishing also.
