Hays did not explicitly call for a crash. But he expressed grave concern about the mounting weakness in many sectors while the NDX continues to soar. Exploding levels of margin debt are another big concern. I got the impression that an NDX crash would not surprise him.

He argues that many market sectors are attractively priced, but expects them to weaken still further when the NDX comes down to earth -- whether through a crash or a severe bear.
