It's obvious to me that supply is outpacing demand. Now whether that means demand is too low, or demand is fine but supply is larger than expected, I don't know. Either way, Athlon is demand-limited.

No, I never said that. Meanwhile you suggest that "if you could just stick an Athlon in a PIII slot, they would sell at even a faster rate." Are you telling me there is still a shortage of Slot A motherboards? Is that why there isn't a shortage of Athlons?
