What you call realism I would call pessimism flying in the face of facts but I guess that could be subjective so I will lay off.

RMBS thread was based off blind optimism (also driven partly by a few manipulators in my view). The huge difference between RMBS and AMD is that one company attempted disruptive technology that most in the industry do not like and the other is providing a continual upgrade to existing technology and provides a relief to OEMs from a single source. The other huge difference between RMBS yesterday (and even today to some extent) and AMD today is that one company has volume customers and other doesn't. There are many other differences but I hope the above two put an end to any parallells between RMBS and AMD.
