Yeah, by then I'll be wondering about the oversupply of Pentium III's. And when that happens and Intel decides to drop the prices of Pentium III's like crazy, do you think Athlon will be unaffected? No? Then take the current shortage of Pentium III's as a blessing. As an INTC long, I sure am.

Tenchusatsu, all that I am saying is that that there are any number of alternative possibilities to where the AMD/Intel rivalry is going. Intel's misfirings have upset the status quo in the chip universe.....AMD's ability to sell more chips (and gain market share) may be the least of the changes that are about to occur. Your idle speculation as to why AMD has chips and Intel has a shortage is meaningless in the long haul and ignores the potential and significant threats these changes pose Intel.

In other words there are important reasons why there are better ways to spend your time than commenting on the differences in chip availability between the two rivals.
