Norman, you can count on the FUD people to find fault with that article as well, they'll say that INTC is "leaving the door open to DDR..."

Agreed that the FUDsters will say it leaves the door open. Of course, no one from Intel is actually quoted as saying that DDR is an option. Just Bert McNoRDRAMComas and "sources".

I especially liked this line.

While Rambus is the memory interface of choice for the Willamette, sources said Intel could fall back to double-data-rate (DDR) SDRAM if necessary.

We could also fall back to using abaci if necessary. Or counting on our fingers and toes. No chance of that happening, of course. But we could...
