*** Joe "Batman" Battipaglia: NAZ 5000 This Year ***

Excerpt..

Last fall, I mentioned that the NASDAQ is likely to outperform the S&P 500 due to the NASDAQ's significantly higher long-term earnings growth and a growing emphasis on earnings power. Following the recent round of earnings reports, the NASDAQ again demonstrated impressive growth. Based upon our current analysis using I/B/E/S estimates, the NASDAQ remains attractively valued relative to the S&P 500 with a forward earnings multiple of 56, a long-term growth rate of 31.8% and a P/E/G ratio of just 1.77 times. This compares favorably to the S&P 500 price-to-earnings-to-growth (P/E/G) of 2.08. Looking forward, I expect this difference to narrow as investors continue to reward strong earnings performance. Therefore, I am raising my year-end, 2,000 NASDAQ composite target to 5,000.
