Hi PAL, and welcome back. I'm very pleased you're back with us, as I've got a lot to learn from you and ed (and countless others) re put sales and finessing this difficult market.

I've also made the MSFT play, but was not sophisticated enough to have financed it through put-selling. Question: Is every options play you make a beautifully-constructed little universe like this? It's amazing to see how one side pays for the other. An options mobius strip, as it were.

You're welcome PAL. Ipicked up the 105s myself but not for as cheap as you did. Well I guess we'll see whether us gamblers get anything by next Friday! It was interesting to see SO MUCH call activity in the 105s and 110s on Thursday, and then the coincidental so-called 'announcement' that one out of four companies would have problems with Windows2K. I don't mean to paranoid, but sometimes I wonder about the timing of such things--if they can hold MSFT down below 105 and/or 110, there's a lot of call options that will expire worthless.
Let's hope to see a nice pop up next week.

Jill
