<<... bood news for gold & Homestake shareholders.>> Like that phrase,

"A Rose by any other name still identifies that which is beauteous."

I used the word beauteous above, rather than the word beautiful
to make a more direct connection to a man's sense of sight
so that I can once again tell a short true story.

Long ago... on the day of her birthday, I presented to her a wooden box
that had a Warning message cut into it's top so that it will always be read
by whoever opened it. It read as follows: "Only **** may lift up this lid
and read the message inside. For anyone else doing so will render the message
invalid, as it is valid for all time only for ****."

when **** lifts the top of the wooden box
she will look inside
and she will first see the message
"To me, Doug, this person is beautiful."
this message is written on the top of a mirror
so that her reflection, for all time, I see as beautiful.

So, bood news or good news, what is is that which is.

And as for that Howe article about Barrick gold closing out hedges
for paper gold rather than real gold... if true, it stinks and
puts into never-never land the safety/value of an ABX share.

ABX, not worth a Rubin.
