Your probably right. Also most new direct order entry platforms are turning away from very complex order entry models such as RT3. Obviously the masses will never require such systems. There are a bunch out there such as Mytrack, Deltatrader, Tradescape. Also it looks like Tradestation/Windows on WallStreet is heading towards integrating direct order entry. Although it seems the trend is away from integrating quotes with order entry. QCharts, DTN, Esignal, all are useable with several direct order entry brokers.
