I agree with you, this mine is going to go. The government is desparate to create new jobs, I think their attitude has changed re environmental concerns, besides , an election is coming up and it is good political hay to have generated "x " jobs .... even if all they did was get the heck out of the way. The area around the mine is depressed economically so this would be a tremendous boost to the existing gov.
Further they ahve a lot of gold ,they idea of surface mining is ingenious, and -relyingon an imperfect memory-they have several million ounces deliniated.
Gold is going up, I have added to my position over the last few weeks . The one good thing about the last resource fiasco is that you learn what doesnt work.
ie indonesian mines or granite mines with lots of granite, but so far north that you cannot get the damn stuff out, or how about voisey bay - were they looking for minerals ? or just the gold in gullible shareholders pockets ? Then we have the dot coms ... are the latest voisey bays ? How many of them are salted bre "x" s?
iwa has a mine with proven resources, it has a mining town next door, it has accessibility to rails and roads, the gold is near the surface. It is having good cooperation from the levels of government and it has a committed president. What more do we want ? REgards rusty
