Qd and all,

OK, now I understand why the appreciation in the share price.

From what I understand from the T.S. speech:

- Outside the corridor, in the new unexpected mineralized zone, the vertical depth of the system is a minimum of 175m which we can expect more of the same within the corridor because of the similar structure

- No surface enrichment which means the grades should be similar at depth

- Low cost deposit

So when they started sampling, they had a corridor of 1.5km x 250m. As they went along, they extended it to 1.85km x 250m with a new zone outside the corridor that gives an idea of the depth to be a minimum of 175m with comparable grades throughout the system.

One thing T.S. said that caught my attention was the last line of his speech: "Our work objective is to take as much technical risk out of the prospect as we can as fast as we can"

Sounds to me that these guys already know what they have at a minimum. In this case surface sampling and tunnel sampling may have given them a lot more info than these programs would usually have given them and perhaps we are in a more advanced exploratory stage than we think.

Without sounding too optimistic, and I would appreciate some feedback from others on points I may have forgotten or may not understand fully, but it sounds that at a minimum, we have a economic grade ore deposit that will be a mine someday and all that's left to do is to expand it in all directions and at depth by more sampling and then drilling to find out just how big it is and then sell it to the highest bidder. Perhaps I'm simplifying it a little but you get the general idea of what I'm getting at.

On top of it all, they were looking for something that would be profitable at 250$ gold (cash cost below 100$) but how much is it worth at over 310$ gold and rising. Could there BE more ducks aligned folks?

In that case, those shares don't seem so overvalued anymore. Just like I learned in school, the market is a very good discounting mechanism.

Good luck, Nexus.

Robert Bishop, writing in his Jan. 24 Fax-Alert (No. 156) and reprinted in his January Gold Mining Stock Report, says Pacific Rim Mining is likely to undergo steady accumulation between now and the late spring drill program. Mr. Bishop commented in December on the company's good results at its Luicho property, saying he regretted not tipping it a buy in September at $1.20. In the current report, Mr. Bishop says Pacific Rim should be accumulated on market setbacks, "with an eye to isolating some profits in advance of the first drill results." Recent news indicates that gold mineralization is being encountered in sampling 150 metres into the sandstone section, which provides an encouraging vertical component to Luicho. Since then, Pacific Rim has advanced to a high of $3.80, he notes. Mr. Bishop contends shareholders seem to want to wait for the spring drilling program. With sellers in short supply, the PFG's price proves very responsive, he says, adding that a financing will probably not be done until the market approaches $5.

OT I think everyone should check out fgr.a on the VSE. Could be a huge Canadian Palladium platinum deposit in the making. Metal prices are roaring and they have a 500 foot core in for testing.

OT2...space shuttle doing radiation mapping from space. Then we'll really have detailed maps. They currently have a 60 meter boom on the shuttle bouncesing the waves ;-)
