Twister: WPO - Great work, looks undervalued, but with some modest caveats which you might care to address:
Insider selling by Pres & CB, No apparent insider buying
Concern over newspapers viability in age of digital info delivery: High fixed costs in physical plant; Profitable classified biz under attack from online auction and classified sites; Ad revenue generally under attack from various media options including online; News content broadly available online - It's not that everything they do migrates online, just that enough does they may not make enough to thrive or even survive 5-10 years from now. Perhaps Thompson's sale of it's newspaper holdings is a warning?
While WPO has online properties with good growth potential, wouldn't that be offset if the newspaper end of it had a 5 year half-life?
