Shalom,

I tend to agree with you, although they haven't really lead her that astray.

The biggest issue they left her with, which I straightened out, was the "marsh theory". Or thats what I call it anyway. They say it might have not been a major part of the Red Sea that was parted. And that a wind, or something in nature could have simply blown back this small body of water. It would not have taken a miracle or anything great!

Luckily, my daughter believes in the inerrancy of the bible and realizes by common sense that the "marsh theory" has to be wrong because how does a whole Egyptian army, including chariots, horsemen, etc. drown in a marsh that could be blown back by the wind!

The only other issue she is dealing with is who was the actual Pharaoh that died during these events....

Being in public school, and knowing the dangers of it, I monitor her education pretty closely. And my daughter is not one to just believe something because it is taught to her. She questions and knows to come back to me and bounce what she learns off of me if she has concerns about it. This system will not shelter her totally from bogus public school teachings, that I know! But it helps a great deal!

Thanks for your thoughts and help!

God Bless,
Steve
