I caught that little "we all" Moore thing too and wondered if he is a historical revisionist very often.

Harumph!

I guess "we all" proved GM right so he gets to take credit. That's OK (I guess).

Perhas GM considers himself one of "us", in which case, "we all" is valid. <vbg>

I think Moore's comment stemmed from the listserv group pounding the table from spring of 1999 forward, even though he didn't capitulate until in early fall. In that sense, his use of 'we all' was directed at the group on the list as Moore doesn't invest himself and posts only occasionally.

Many people from this thread also participate on the listserv, so without going back to review all my digests from March to May to see exactly who said what, I would imagine there was a lot of cross posting of ideas at the time. I do know that Uniphase/JDSU and Qualcomm were oft talked about on the listserv for the majority of the year.

Regardless, this is not to take away from the excellent work done here or to support anything Geoff said or didn't say. Simply trying to clarify how his post fit into the thread of discussion on the listserv and why he may have chosen to use the words 'we all'. He tends to address the listserv using the terms that fit with using 'we' to mean 'the group'.
