Hi,
Feel free to go tell me to go jump in the lake re. ATCO, but here's my take it. I think their Hypersound is a very clever idea. I actually understand it, because figuring out how acoustics and other dynamic excitation phenomena affect aerospace structures is what I do for a living (for a couple more months anyway). I actually invested in ATCO over 3 years ago. The technology was being hyped everywhere--articles in Pop. Mechanics, pr's, demo's to prospective customers etc. It looked great to me.

The only problem, the BIG prob. in my book, is that their revs are still coming from the port. radios, a commodity. I could be wrong, and I actually am occasionally <<gg>>, but it would seem to me that if the new tech. was actually something that someone wanted, or didn't have a fatal flaw (eg. perhaps the sound is location specific that a move of the head will alter the level and frequency content perceived by the listener.

ATCO should have contracts and sales by now. Of course, when/if it gets that first big contract, the stock is going to explode. Except I'd have waited 3 years and still counting. It seems to be very much like PTSC which is being hyped on AP's board. I was in it too 3 years ago--it was hyped then by Red Chip Review--a newsletter still living off its early IOM pick, but which is not much more than a P & D rag IMO based on my short term exposure to it.

Oh yeah. FFIV settled back to 98 and change EOD. I probably should have taken profits and gotten back in, but I feel comfy holding it over the weekend, cuz I'm up quite a bit in it, and it could pop big again. Even though its trading channel is downward, it experiences regular big upward moves. The downward stuff has been related mostly to insider selling post-lu IMO.

I've already stated why it looks like a great co. a couple of times here (a Briefing.com fav, it's tremendous top and bottom lines in the exploding routing, load balancing network storage business, well off its highs--Dale? FFIV should be a good LT buy/hold as well as a trading vehicle to make ST $$$.

BTW I mentioned ORFR a while ago. Now there's a spec. play for you all and a chance to get even for my critique of ATCO. ORFR makes test equip. for wireless and sat. equip. It was beaten down (like over 90%)after running afoul of gov. for illegal foreign sales of sensitive equip. I didn't buy at the time but look in from to time. It has gone upn 50% since the beginning of the year. It's still cheap, and a bit of a crap shoot IMO, but someone(s) is/are starting to take notice and it could easily fly. Disc.--I'm not in it yet, but looking more seriously.

Jim

Help me here if you can. What do you see other than the shares of EDIG that would make you hungry to own this one? The shares of EDIG may go to the moon but experience tells us that the value of the EDIG investment may or may not be recognized by Mr. Market.

Speakers are pretty much a commodity unless you can package the technology such as Bose.

EDIT: Just read your post in response to Jim and followed the links and the question remains. They are either a commodity or a high end niche' (for the foreseeable future) don't see a lot of profit there.
