Diamon H: As I said in my original post, I was expecting QCOM to begin to move. Only after being asked by several what my expectation was did I give my thoughts and I must admit I did so reluctantly.

However, I did couch my suspicions with the statement that "this time" my indicators were mixed, so I was not firm in my expectation! Basically, I gave folks some support/resistance price action areas and trend lines to watch to make up their own mind.

I am no guru...

EDIT: I agree, folks should always take responsibility for their own investment decisions. I'll add my post disclaimer below...

Regards,
LG

<< Well here we go again. We've got a call from the angels for Q to be at $160 to $170 due to the analysts meeting next Thursday and people like jmac over there are buying calls accordingly.>>

Rick
It's obvious that you lurk on the Porch thread so why not just post your feelings regarding Voltaire and his observations on that thread and not pollute this one with your personal agenda.

<<Until people get totally fleeced by following those who appear to remove the uncertainty from the stock market, they will never understand the true meaning of investing:>>

Why are you so concerned with others and who they listen to and how they invest?I myself find it a full time job just taking care of my own business and as such let others do the same.

<<It is really a sad commentary that whenever someone with a following or impressive market jargon makes a call, people salivate for further clarification and nuance from said gurus.<<

See the above comments.

In closing let me offer this thought.I enjoy reading the news articles posted ,thoughts on interest rates,Q's technology, legal issues as it pertains to Q,earnings, and just generalized smart comments made by the many intelligent posters to this thread.Having said that, your "I am the professor and this is my classroom" attitude is contributing, on a rather large scale, to the declining thread population.I am now placing you on ignore so a response directed to me will be an exercise in futility.

Diamond H,

Perhaps you should go back and read the original post on this thread to understand why it is not just about investing. The original intent of this thread and the current content both seem to focus on short term trading activity in QCOM. There is already another SI thread for QCOM investing (the new Q - an S&P 500 co) which I enjoy equally well, however many of us still enjoy trading discussions.

If you're happy holding your shares that's fine. I would appreciate it if you would stop trying to belittle those who do otherwise. I agree with those who have suggested that your attitude has led to the decline of this thread in both content and population.

Gee Diamond,

little tougher having your own thread than you thought, uh?

well, that is not the reason I stopped by. Coonaz came driving up to the Porch the other night and said he saw someone crouched in the Rhododendrons, he didn't think much about it cause around the porch the need to crouch can be the result of several needs. When he told us about the individual in the bushes we didn't make much of it and then someone said that you were once again irritated about certain predictions and had said as much on your thread Diamond Coming Into Spy Range. Well, after hearing that I went to Conaz and ask if the individual that he scared out of the bushes had said anything and he said yes, as a matter of fact he did and I of course asked what. He said that the strange individual had ran from the bushes mumbling something about predictions, predictions, predictions and cursing the thorns that had snagged his ass and saying something about how they were a lot like cactus in the CANYON. Well, needless to say put two and five together and damn, I could not believe it, you have actually been lurking around Voltaire's Porch, damn man, that is probably the greatest compliment we could have gotten. Now listen, you have to be careful, we have not had a chance to cut that grass you have been walking through and we have killed three copperheads out there in the last two days and remember unlike the snakes in the Canyon, these don't rattle. So I tell you what, why don't you just come on in and join us, we won't bite but I can't promise you that you won't hear a prediction or two, hell, at least Molloy shows up and goes toe to toe with JW.
At any rate, no matter what you do, good luck. Oh, by the way, what happened to that greatest feeling in the world that you told everyone you got from seeing little kids learn, seems you have gotten slightly off track to being a little kid unwilling to learn.

Like I said, tough having your own thread. Last one out get the lights would you?

From the Angels and,

Voltaire
