Changing perceptions of Corel's management?

re:

<Most often heard negative has been lack of trust in Corel's management ... maybe that perception will change in the next month or so?

Can you offer any idea what might cause such a change in perception? This is not at "wise-guy" question. I'd really like to know.>

There will be a new Chairman of the Board, and at least one new director (from INPR).

I expect the insider trading charges by the OSC against Mike C will be either dealt with or evaporate fairly quickly now ... the complaint doesn't appear to be supported by the trading history ... Mike C did not profit from the transactions that are the basis of the complaint against him, if anything he incurred a substantial loss.

There may be some actual (good) results to report soon (might have to wait until April to hear these) as well.

I'm pretty sure that both the outgoing and incoming BOD will make a reasonable attempt to re-build investor's and analyst's confidence at the next Annual meeting:

Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders

My other half used to be employed with Corel once upon a time and spent many hours talking with Mr. C. till the wee small ours of the morning. No matter how much negativeness surrounding Mr. C. that goes on, I personally think he is an amazing businessman I must say. Over the years I have had a lot of misbelief in the man for many personal reasons, but he always comes through on the business side. I still hold out hope for Corel and Inprise.
