>> I am beginning to wonder about something. Seems most of the folks who I have met on this and the other thread have several things in common, one of which is a healthy appreciation and respect for their marriages and partners......

From The Millionaire Mind by Dr. Thomas Stanley:

The typical millionaire couple in America has been married for twenty-eight years. One in four have been married for thirty-eight or more years. Considering the divorce rate in contemporary America, millionaires as a group can teach us all something about finding the right mate for life. Also, choice of spouse is a major factor in explaining variations in wealth. There is a highly significant negative correlation between divorce and wealth, and conversely, there is a highly significant relationship between years of uninterrupted marriage and net worth.

In essence, why are millionaires millionaires? Because they made the right decisions concerning several major issues in their life, and one of these is choice of spouse.
