If you are into gold this week this is a must read. I hinted at it early last week. Not how the banks may get burnt, Ashanti may get burnt, and the bears may get burnt. Hope this gets me some of the money back I lost 4 years ago due to banks and producers short selling gold. Lesson learned.

Brian - Ashanti - boy that's a good question. last I heard the country was pretty mad at Ashanti(g> - maybe they will be involved in the transition whatever that turns out to be. I can't guess how that will turn out, but I don't think it will affect the gold mkt. I am pretty nervous about the price of gold. I think gold is hooked in there with the PGM's. If the PGMs stay up there, I think gold will be fine, but if Russia unloads and drives the PGM's down I think gold will follow. On the other hand with the US stock and bond mkt so crazy and an overvalued dollar - people may be hedging their bets - maybe this is the beginning of the great bull mkt <g>. Great theater though - could be an expensive ticket if we guess wrong <g>.
