Thanks for the acknowledgement of the posts. I'm not too sure that people find them useful so it is good to hear from you.

As the last post shows, since the first of the year the "laggard" smaller cap stocks are doing better than the large cap stocks that are a part of the SOX. SMTL happens to be at the top of the heap 6 weeks into the year. The year earnings estimates for SMTL ending in Sept 2000 tend to vary all over the place. At the moment I have seen them run all the way from $0.51 to $1.18 per share. For FY-01 the number seems to be $1.46. Like you say - way to go SMTL!!
