Mr McCain is ready to declare peace after he smeared Mr. Bush for 18 days. Good for Mr. Bush that he does not fall for this.

Do you really believe that Bush had nothing to do with the Crazy McCain stories? Yuck, yuck! Anyway, McCain has no choice but to ask for a truce since he doesn't have the Big Money and backing from the Republican Party that Bush has. You can be sure that the word has come down from On High that if your state wants political favors from Washington that the State Republican Party had better back and raise funds for Bush.

Now that Forbes has dropped out I guess my only choice is to vote for McCain. Anything to derail the Anointed One.

The Republican Party differs from the Democratic Party only in degrees. Sure, each may feel that certain (and different) powers should be allowed to the states, but they both feel that the Feds should control substantially everything. How different from our Constitutional government with independent States and limited, enumerated Federal powers. Anyone who believes that the Federal government should be restricted in any way what-so-ever is now labelled as a right-wing wacko.
