I agree with you here. Metcalf has proven he can see the big picture and the underlying fundamental forces driving same. However, the above says to me that he underestimates the powerful draw this is on the creation of solutions to address the demand. He underestimated buildout, not demand.

This is why I think his estimate of 10 years to deliver broadband into the home is way too pessimistic. Hence my question - can HDR be part of the answer to getting broadband into American homes much sooner - say starting sometime in 2001?
