Quincy,

<< No IS136 carrier offers coverage in all 25 of the top US markets. You're missing Houston TX, San Diego, San Francisco, and San Jose CA >>

Interoperability and "Inter-standard roaming" (TDMA/GSM) will solve this:

gsmworld.com

Actually, 'T' owns 1900 MHz PCS licenses in these cities. They may piggyback SBC's well built out GSM property (PacBell) in CA however when dual mode dual band and triband handsets become available later this year.

<< Same problem with GSM but different markets (Dallas, Chicago, etc.) >>

VoiceStream will build out these markets (and the strip in between, including St. Louis) with the licenses they (and Omnipoint) obtained (formerly held by DCR/Pocket) in the C-Block reauction last spring.

<< a top 50 market SprintPCS doesn't have a presence in >>

Great job in the spectrum auctions. Great build out. Good marketing. Too bad roaming opportunities are so limited abroad. Maybe CDG will make the March meeting of the Global Roaming Forum. Too bad they missed the inaugural event.
