Ritch,

I've been using Waterhouse exclusively for about a year and, in general, I like them very much. They're inexpensive ($12/trade online)and I'll often get the extra fraction of a point on limit orders. I've got a pretty large account there and so I qualify as a priority customer, meaning that I have a special phone number I can call which leapfrogs me ahead of the queue and I get a broker within a couple of seconds.

In the past I've NOT found them to be great on options, though. They're options quotes are often not updated or simply incorrect, and the limit they set on options orders online is so low that I must do most of my trades by phone.

I've been told, however, that they're adding a feature on their phone service where customers can connect directly with an options specialist for options trades. This ought to help, I hope. I've been looking at Wall St. Access as an options broker but I'll wait to see how Waterhouse's changes go.

No, I'm at FIDO. It's got its plusses and minuses but overall I'm content with it. I've heard good things about Dreyfus too.
