hello thread:
is anybody aware on what is ibm's strategy in ebusiness?
mean, what are the products? solutions? competitors?

what are the strategic markets in which ibm will make its
future growth!?

how is ibm adapting on these revolutionary changing markets?

i'm asking these questions because ibm didn't manage to grow
any revenue! for the last quaters and only held up earnings
by cutting costs!

i'm apprecing any comments and insights on these questions and invite anybody to discuss on this thread.

:-)

Win2000 and trends in general-

It's happening more slowly thatn I thought, but it looks to me like specific OSes are becoming less and less relevant.

I also think it's very fair to say that the ramp to WIN2000 will be very slow indeed. The latest report I heard was that Iomega Zip and Jazz drives will not be initially supported in WIN2000. Hard to believe!

Well, how are the folks who can't support my NT station going to support my zip drive? Maybe I'm going to start storing multiple copies of entire work environments on separate servers.

A couple hundred megs here, a couple hundred megs there, times 5,000 employees... pretty soon you have a hardware issue.

Who's gonna sell it to us? Could be IBM.

That's just how I look at it- the more Msoft screws up, the more I store on multiple servers.
