But dilution is a nonissue for old shareholders: their shares are up more than seven-fold in a few weeks. That ain't gonna happen to an unprofitable garment maker without Mr. Son's help.

I just realized that the new, official share count won't show up anywhere, including brokerage screens, until the deal is actually approved by Cheung Wah shareholders, sometime in March. That's when the name will change too. That's when we're going to see the big spike, I'm betting. The deal going through is a slam dunk: no one in their right mind would reject a quick 10-bagger on the value of their shares. The Softbank team has obviously done their dd on this--just a formality, I'm sure.

(though it should be said that if for whatever reason that deal DIDN'T go through--this thing will approach zero at the speed of light!)
