Merrill will definitely sell you shares--just call the broker and tell him you want Cheung Wah Development, ticker 0648, Hong Kong exchange. Merrill will probably sell you 0648 direct from HK, not CWAHF, which is what E*Trade sold me. They're the exact same thing, really, except for the spread, which is going to be much worse for CWAHF. Yes, CWAHF is like SFTBF, though I don't think I'd call them pink sheets.

After Yamakita mentioned CW to me I called Fidelity, where I have an account. When I asked if they traded it, they said yes, but only through their international desk. If F trades it ML should, and possibly P.
