Kyowa Hakko and Geron Corporation Extend Partnership in Telomerase Inhibition MENLO PARK, Calif., Feb 14, 2000 (BW HealthWire) -- Geron Corporation (Nasdaq:GERN) announced today that Kyowa Hakko Kogyo Co., Ltd. has extended its drug discovery collaboration with Geron. The agreement extends the research term and compound selection periods one additional year to March 2002. Geron will receive additional research funding from Kyowa Hakko as part of this extension. The extension of the drug discovery collaboration with Kyowa Hakko follows the announcement on Jan. 18, 2000 that Pharmacia & Upjohn extended its telomerase inhibition discovery partnership with Geron, thereby maintaining the three-company alliance.
