Sly,,the distribution of shares(90% +/-) will not occur until approximately 6 months after the IPO,,so for that period,,the value of PALM should be reflected in the price of COMS--in a perfect world<g>..Aside from the value of PALM,,IMO there may be more value in the parent COMS,even after the distribution than many may perceive..There appears to be a directional shift for the future towards DSL modems, as well as cable, which will potentially have higher margins than the bulk of the current modems manufactured. I don't know about the other posters here,,but I do hold some very long shares,,which I intend to hold through and after the distribution,,,that isn't to say,I don't also hold shares which have a shorter term target...problem is, I can't decide what that target is,or when it will be reached<lol>....DD
PS: and lets not forget the chart which has gone through a basing, beginning approx at 82 in the second week of Dec 96(about the 10th),,bottoming in April 99(about the 7th)...personally, I get a TA rush, everytime I look at the chart<g>,regardless of the widening Bbands. The upper band broken on friday,,will be confirmed with a break to a higher high..P&F should confirm the move...if it happens..and of course, chart interpretations abound,,mine is just one..<vbg>
