Thanks for digging into the archives to find that post of Stew's. That information from the Lehman report might be the basis of the latest rumor, but the latest rumor implied that just a couple of days ago a price target of $150 had been set. That in turn implies a target to be reached in about the next 12 months, not the two-year target mentioned in September.

Not that it matters to us Gorilla Gamers. Qualcomm's price certainly shot up quickly to $200 immediately after one of the firms issued a price target of $1000 pre-split, $250 post-split. One month later the price now sits consistently below $150. If Gemstar's 14% increase on Friday is partially explained by the rumor, I suspect it won't hold unless new fundamental information about the company comes to light.

Your are correct. This past week Lehman reiterated its $150 price target.
