Yes, I'm aware many of the banks, C, STT, PNC, BK, etc., have business forecasts predicated on the current stock market activity, including the stock market debt. That can be said for the techs as well. Most estimates are straight-line projections. In a similar vein, I recall the last time the semiconductor boom-bust cycle was repealed was in 1995. At least this time, they have the advantage of separate companies and stocks, i.e., the telecom service providers, to give away product and absorb losses on their own finances.
