Thanks! P/E's look good for UAL and DAL so far.

I just calculated P/E ratios based on expected earnings for FY2000. At $46.50 per share, DAL's forward P/E ratio is 6.78 on expected EPS of $6.85.

For UAL, the forward P/E ratio is even lower, 6.1, based on current price of $52.13 per share and expected FY2000 EPS of $8.54.

As you suggest, fuel costs and new pilot contracts appear to be the wild cards to watch.

Your message is still timely. I'm buying some DAL Oct calls.
